Tyra Banks had an amazing weight loss of 30 pounds!

The supermodel never appeared to be heavy, but losing this weight has definitely made her look like she’s in her prime again.

She attributes the loss in weight to eating right and exercising. Who would have thought. Banks now weighs 140 pounds, and considering her height that’s very slim.

Life & Style is reporting that in order to lose weight, the 5-foot-10 Banks has switched her old food habits for better choices like fruits, vegetables and protein, which rev her metabolism and keep hunger at bay.

“It’s more of a lifestyle change than a diet,” says an insider. Tyra starts the day with an energy-packed meal of eggs and papaya slices or a bowl of whole-grain cereal and fruit, says the insider – that’s a far cry from her old IHOP breakfasts.

She also says portion control is very important when evaluating your diet. Banks even admits it’s okay to cheat on your diet every once in a while.

“She believes in treating herself on the weekends. She allows herself a bowl of her favorite ice cream on Saturdays,” says an insider.

Yeah, how can anyone go without ice cream every so often?
