Teena Marie Dead at 54

Teena Marie the famous singer titled as the “Ivory Queen of Soul” passed away on Sunday and is dead at the age of 54.

She was a great singer and had given hits like “Lover girl,” “Square Biz,” and “Fire and Desire in association with Rick James, her mentor.

She died of natural causes as per the Pasadena police stated. She was found dead by the family members in her apartment in Pasadena, California.

Teena Marie had once revealed in an interview about her fight with drug addiction which started due to prescribed drugs by medical experts. Congo Square was her last album after getting free from drug addiction.

Her first hit was “I’m A Sucker for Your Love,” became famous for her passionate songs  like “Need Your Lovin’,” “Behind the Groove.”
