Rosie, Obama, The View
Rosie O’Donnell speaks out against Obama appearing on The View.
Rosie thinks it’s a bad idea for President Obama to go on The View where she once co-hosted. Speaking on her satellite radio show Wednesday, O’Donnell said the president’s decision to appear on “The View” did not sit well with her.
“I have mixed feelings about that. I don’t really think sitting presidents should go do fluffy daytime TV shows. Maybe an hour on ‘Oprah’ or something…I don’t really want to see him on ‘The View’…although I’m happy for them, that’s a good booking, and Barbara’s going to come back that day after her heart surgery…”
Rosie O’Donnell is far from the first person to chime in. Obama’s decision has sparked a great deal of commentary. Politics Daily had nine of its writers offer their take on whether Obama should sit down with the women of the ABC show. On Tuesday’s edition of “Morning Joe,” Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell even said the decision was beneath the dignity of the presidency and compared it to going on “Jerry Springer.”
