Lady Gaga Sued News

In recent news, Lady Gaga is apparently being sued!

A man who claimed that he was behind the meteoric rise of Lady Gaga is suing the provocative pop star for 35 million dollars, his lawyers said.

Among other things, Rob Fusari claimed he was the lover of Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, that he came up with her stage name and co-wrote her hits Paparazzi and Disco Heaven.

His lawyer Robert Meloni told the New York Daily News Thursday that he is seeking a 20-per-cent cut from a contract that he signed with her in 2006.

Fusari, who has also worked with Destiny’s Child and Will Smith, said he discovered Lady Gaga in 2006 and was responsible for helping her develop her unique persona and dance hall hits. He claimed he came up with the name Lady Gaga after typing her a text message about the Queen hit Radio Gaga, which his phone spell-checker changed to Lady Gaga.

“Would she have found another Rob Fusari? Maybe,” Meloni said. “Would she just have gone on to playing in small clubs? Maybe. But his influence certainly catapulted her into the limelight if everything he is saying is true.
