Don’t worry, Kristen Stewart isn’t wanted for a crime, she is wanted for a sequel.

Kristen Stewart is wanted for the sequel to the hit action thriller, “Wanted.” Apparently, Stewart is one of the top choices to fill Angelina Jolie’s shoes as the female lead.

According to E! News, Stewart was approached to fill Jolie’s spot in the franchise and met with director Timur Bekmambetov at least once to discuss the project. In the film, Stewart would join the Fraternity as a young assassin.

Angelina Jolie’s character died in the original film “Wanted”, but Bekmambetov told MTV that her character would be brought back in some capacity, but could not detail exactly how. However, it seems that Jolie might not be game for a second go-around at her gun-wielding “Wanted” character. She’s reportedly backed out from doing a sequel.

“Wanted,” released in 2008, also starred James McAvoy and Morgran Freeman. The R-rated actioner earned $134 million at the box-office.

Stewart, who can be seen in the Joan Jett bio-pic “The Runaways,” will appear next in this summer’s “Twilight” sequel “Eclipse.” Jolie headlines her latest action thriller in “Salt,” which also debuts this summer.
