It seems every celebrity nowadays has an Italian Villa, Brad Pitt and Jolie recently jumped on the bandwagon.

The Jolie-Pitt Italian villa has 16 rooms with red marble. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt  spent $40 million for an Italian villa located near Verona. The Jolie Pitt villa is located in the same city of where William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” took their lives.

Pitt and Jolie paid $40 million for the villa. Located in Verona, it’s the same city where William Shakespeare’s tragic teenaged couple Romeo and Juliet took their lives. But, as Shakespeare put it, it was a love sacrifice for the sake of their feuding families.

The 16-room villa is a 16th century style by Venetian architect Andrea Palladian. It sits in the Valpolicella hills, just northwest of Verona, and has a fantastic view. The Hollywood couple purchased the villa after looking at two other properties in the area.

Their new summer Italian home is in an area famous for red marble and Amarone red wine. George Clooney has a villa on Lake Como near Milan in Italy’s northwest. In fact, several Hollywood celebrities are buying up property in the area to be used as vacation homes.
