Unbeknown to some, Jessica Simpson has been on a vegan diet for quite some time now.

Jessica Simpson vegan diet includes a weight loss tea. Chinese Pu-erh tea is sold as a weight loss drink and Jessica Simpson is drinking it as part of a new diet. Jessica Simpson is also going vegan and cupping as well to curb appetite and to lose weight.

“Just so everyone is clear… this has NOTHING to do with weight!,” Jessica Simpson said in a statement on Twitter. “It is about understanding my body through hydration and alkalinty…” In other words, she’s not trying to lose weight or diet, but it’s more about staying healthy.

Cupping is the ancient Chinese healing practice of placing heated glass suction cups on the skin in order to “suck out” the body’s toxins. “Has anyone ever tried cupping?” Simpson tweeted. “When u know you are doing something good for ur body the meditation creates intense visions. Love it!”

Simpson, 29, is also trying to give up all meat, poultry, fish and animal products. This includes milk, eggs, cheese and honey. “Who am I right now? This might be too clean!” she exclaimed on Twitter. It is unlcear whether Simpson discovered her new diet through her VH1 series “Price of Beauty,” in which she explores the extreme lengths women around the world will go to for the sake of being beautiful.
