Jesse James got in a bad crash while participating in a truck race.

The notorious ex-husband of Sandra Bullock escaped serious harm in the race.

The crash occurred in Baja, Mexico before Jesse James went off-road. The TV reality star, whose divorce from Sandra Bullock was finalized in August, walked away without any serious injuries.

James 41, crashed only 160 miles into the 1,061 mile-long race. He eventually returned to compete after making a few repairs to the four wheeled buggy. Only 201 entrants managed to finish the course.

The event was called the 43rd Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 in the annual race and was held last weekend. The track takes in harsh rocky terrain and sand covered areas. It’s a difficult track to complete with high speeds, according to some racing experts.

The racing mishap rounds off a bad month for Jesse James. He was ordered by a judge to complete an evaluation alongside first wife, porn star Janine Lindemulder, as part of their bitter custody battle. The battle is over their six-year-old daughter, Sunny James. The video above shows James in one of his bazooka bike accidents.
