Finally,  Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish get their right as a couple to adopt a child. They have become parents of a baby boy who has been named as Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John.

The same-sex couple, who got married after living together for 12 years had their first baby with the help of a surrogate mother, whose identity was not revealed by John and Furnish.

Zachary is the first child of Sir John, 62 and Furnish, 48 who were denied adopting a Ukraine child. The child was HIV-positive. However, John’s age and Ukraine’s law that does not recognize civil marriages stopped the couple from adopting. John then had to make a promise to provide economic support to the child.
