Elizabeth Taylor: Open Jewelry Store
Elizabeth Taylor was set to open a jewelry store in Beverly Hills this weekend but the star was stuck sick. Elizabeth Taylor was unable to attend the opening of her jewelry store due to the flu.
Elizabeth Taylor missed the launch of her new boutique due to the flu. The store called Luxury Jewels of Beverly Hills featuring House of Taylor, named after her jewelry line, House of Taylor, went on with out her. However fans waited for three hours before being told she was unable to attend.
The 77 year old Hollywood legend has had a series of illnesses in the recent past. So many in fact that there have been many false rumors of her passing, but she says she has “outlived so many who have prematurely buried me.” I think she has a lot of fight in her yet.
It is a well known fact that Miss Taylor is passionate about jewelry. Over the years she has had some of the most talked about pieces in history including a 33.19-carat Krupp Diamond, a 69.42-carat pear-shaped Taylor-Burton Diamond, and of course the 50-carat La Peregrina Pearl, which was once owned by Mary I of England. She is a regular client of jewelry designer, Shlomo Moussaieff, whose average pieces of jewelry cost $1 million.
Over the years Elizabeth has owned a number of well-known pieces, two of the most talked-about being the 33.19-carat (6.64 g) Krupp Diamond and the 69.42-carat (13.88 g) pear-shaped Taylor-Burton Diamond. It seems that after the jewelry line, a jewelry store was the next step. I am sure it will be quite successful. I hope she gets well soon, and is able to see it in action.
The new store is located on Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills.
