Angelina Jolie Brad Pitt to Adopt Haitian

Actress Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt are reportedly set to add a little girl from Haiti to their growing family, according to a UK report.

The 35-year-old star already has three adopted children as well as three biological children with her long-time partner Brad Pitt.

British newspaper Daily Mirror is now reporting that the pair are about to adopt Leah, a four-year-old little girl from Haiti who was orphaned when her family were killed in the earthquakes that hit the country last year.

Jolie reportedly met the little girl in February last year and she has been in close contact with officials ever since. Leah has now allegedly been granted permission to make her first trip to the US.

A source said to the newspaper:

“Angelina’s lawyers are in the process of getting an authorisation so Leah can spend some time with her in America. That’s standard procedure, basically they need to make sure Leah will adapt well.

“A lot of observers from groups such as the Red Cross are ensuring that Angelina is treated like anybody else and not fast-tracked, which would be viewed invidiously.”
