Rapper Lil Wayne expects to receive a one-year- sentence for unlawful gun possession.

The rap star from the south was found guilty of second degree illegal possession of firearms. The NYPD had found a .40 caliber handgun in his tour bus after a search. According to TMZ the cops smelt marijuana coming from the bus which lead to their search. Evidently Wayne tossed a Louis Vuitton  bag with the gun inside the bus. But because his DNA evidence was on the gun he plead guilty and will likely have to spend up to a year in prison.

I don’t get why these rappers can’t just hire enough body guards. They should try to get carry concealed licenses for protection, however in New York the law is “may-issue” which means they don’t have to issue you a license even if you pass the test. But he could get one for when he travels in the south.
