Astrobiology is the study of life in the universe. Astrobiology experts such as David Morrison attempt to understand life on earth, determine if life exists elsewhere (i.e. extraterrestrial life, also known as “aliens”). Astrobiology also attempts to predict the future of life on the planet, making them best suited to addressing concerns about a life ending event in the future, such as the many 2012 predictions.
