(Sniper Suspect Lee Boyd Malvo’s Confession Transcript)

Sniper Suspect Lee Boyd Malvo’s Confession Transcript is a chilling piece in which Lee Boyd Malvo admits to many of the sniper’s shootings. Lee Boyd Malvo admitted to killing Linda Franklin, who was an FBI analyst. The killing took place in the parking lot of a Home Depot store in Falls Church, Virginia on October 14, 2002.

John Allen Muhammad, who is facing execution, was working with the 17 year old Lee Boyd Malvo (now 24 years of age), who due to his age is only facing life without parole. Originally named John Allen Williams, Muhammad joined the Nation of Islam in 1987 and drawings by Malvo claimed the shootings as part of a “jihad”. In an odd turn of events the prosecutor (rather than the defendant) attempted to paint Muhammad’s shootings as an attempt to kill his ex-wife and regain custody of his children (by making her death one of the many) based solely on his former wife’s sensationalist claims. Mrs Muhammad said, “He was trying to place me in the middle of all these killings, so that when he finally took me out, the police would think I was just another sniper victim.” The judge ruled against that argument, citing insufficient evidence.

The Mohammad case shows shocking parallels to other cases of Muslims in the military. As an army sergeant, Muhammad was posted to Saudi Arabia during the first Gulf War. When he was on a tour of duty as a combat engineer specializing in explosives, he was accused of exploding a device in an suicide bombing attempt. He had claimed black soldiers suffered discrimination in the Gulf during Operation Desert Storm. Mohammad was disciplined, but many claim authorities failed to see the future threat he posed.

Recently a Major Nidal Hasan, also a Muslim in the military, carried out an attack on Fort Hood that left 13 killed and 31 wounded. Nidal Hasan had shouted the takb?r (????????) “Allahu akbar” which means “God is great!”, leading many to speculate at a religious motivation for his attack.

Previously, in 2003 during the invasion of Iraq, US Army sergeant Hasan Karim Akbar, also a Muslim soldier, threw a grenade and began firing, killing two and wounding 14 others. Both of the soldiers had left writings before the incidents indicating their confusion about fighting a Muslim country on behalf of a nation that is predominantly Christian. Moments after he was arrested Akbar said, “You guys are coming into our countries, and you’re going to rape our women and kill our children.” His mother, Quran Bilal, believes intolerance to his Islamic faith and his race is what lead to his choices during the invasion of the Islamic country of Iraq.
