NBA all-star Shaquille O’Neal is known as Superman on the basketball court, but now we know he can be a hero off the court too, with Shaq’s funeral payment for a young girl recently murdered in North Carolina.

The girl, Shaniya Davis, was kidnapped and killed in North Carolina and broke hearts across America when she was found dead after days of being missing.

Shaq saw the news reports and was moved to do whatever he could to help remember this poor girl and her family and friends. With so much bad news around, in and out of the sports world, it’s good to see some stories about an athlete who shows heart and class!
