Does Texas quarterback Colt McCoy deserve the Heisman?

In our opinion he has done more than enough and more than any other player this year to deserve the prestigious award. McCoy has 3,328 passing yards so far with 27 touchdowns, a completion percentage of 71.8 and a 152.93 passer rating to boot.

Not to mention that he was won every single game this year and is the NCAA’s all time winningest quarterback. The only thing he doesn’t have under his belt is a national championship. Many could say he had that robbed from him last year -- OU played in the national championship despite the fact that Texas beat them head to head and had the same record.

Hopefully this year the Heisman voters do the right thing and give McCoy the award he was passed up for last year. A Texas-Florida (should have happened last year) national championship would be a bonus as well.
