President Obama attended his first state dinner with guest from all over the nation and world attending.

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama welcome India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife, Gursharan Kaur, to the White House. As Obama’s first state dinner, the evening was aimed at showing Singh that relations with India is a U.S. priority. The guest list featured A-listers from Hollywood and Washington, and the menu was mostly vegetarian, in honor of the vegetarian Singh.
