“Fried Food” Moderation
Is there such thing as “fried food” moderation?
Sorry to those fried food lovers, but the answer is no. Fried food is never better for you than the raw (for vegetables) or grilled (for meats) version of prepared food. Think of it as unhealthy as desert and you might get a clearer picture. It adds saturated fats and grease to otherwise healthy foods such as pickles or mushrooms. Frying red meats or pork is about as unhealthy as you can get. It would be wise to cut your intake of fried foods to as little as possible.
So instead of frying the turkey this year, try baked or slow roasted.
